The largest island of the Caribbean, Cuba is found south of Key West, Florida, North West of Jamaica and between Haiti and the Bahamas. Sharing coasts with both the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic ocean, the island of Cuba has gradually built itself up from the tourist decline of the 60’s and offers some fantastic tourist attractions to visit.   The capital city of Havana is found in the western province, in addition to brilliant scuba diving sites, you’ll find the dramatic hills of Pinar Del Rio and an off the beaten track atmosphere. Havana is a tourist hotspot with must see architecture and a quaint charm in which visitors can immerse themselves, popular attractions include the Catedral de San Cristubal, the Plaza de Armas and the Cartillo de la Real Fuerza.   When visiting Cuba, resorts can seem like the popular choice, but make sure to get out and about to experience the local culture, the best places to visit are the popular tourist neighbourhoods where there will always be an example of local music and dance. The local clubs play a mixture of Cuban Reggae and Cuban Rap as well as more traditional Cuban favourites and eating in Cuba is a friendly experience with a plethora of quaint restaurants and delightful “Paladares”.   For golf enthusiasts the only full golf course can be found in Varadero, along with beautiful beaches and an array of luxurious hotels. You can swim with dolphins in some of the excursions available in the city, while the Parque Josone offers a colourful break from the normal pace of life, filled with birds, music, vendors and lovely scenery.
