US Virgin Islands
A territory of the United States of America and found between the North Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea is the US Virgin Islands. To the east of Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands together with the British Virgin Islands make up the Virgin Island archipelago.
The US Virgin Islands are famed for their sun, sea, surf and sand with a tropical climate and a slight rainy season between the months of May and November. The terrains are fairly mountainous with little in the way of level plains and Crown Mountain stands tall at 474m. The three main islands are Saint Croix, Saint John and Saint Thomas and popular attractions to see across the three include; The Buck Island National Monument; home to one of the best preserved marine gardens in the Caribbean sea, Salt River Bay National Historic Park and Ecological Reserve; an area comprising of lush mango forests, a submarine canyon and a colourful menagerie of coral reefs, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the Caribbean.
