The city of Freeport is found on the Grand Bahama Island in the nation of the Bahamas, and is also a free trade zone located only 65 miles from the coast of Palm Beach, Florida.
Freeport boasts the beautiful Lucayan National Park; the filming site of the popular Pirates of the Caribbean films two and three, and Port Lucaya, the tourist centre of the island.
The port features a huge array of restaurants and shops as well as water-related activities including surfing, sailing and diving. You’ll find entertainment almost every night in the port, although Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and you’ll get to meet lots of interesting local residents.
